| 3. Temperature control |
Vulcanization temperature control is performed with storm or bimetallic dial thermometers, seted into vulcanizing platens external surface perforations. |
| 4. Temperature regulation |
à) By NILOS Electronic Switch Cabinet type JA...À (automatic) |
Bimetallic temperature regulator built-in in each vulcanizing platen, it lets to set any requested vulacanization temperature, which is keeped on constant level by NILOS Electronic Switch Cabinet type JA...A. |
 |
Control process. During heating up actual temperature is counted by storm glass or bimetallic thermometer. Then temperature is raised by turning the set screw to the right. After required temperature is reached the set screw is turned to the left until the platen is swithed off. |
Switching off process is signalized by corresponding lamp, which is going out. Then bimetallic regulator is set on required tenperature. |

á) By NILOS Electronic Switch Cabinet type JA...À (electronic) |
Vulcanizing pletans also can be equipped with electronic temperature regulation system by request. |
NILOS Electronic Switch Cabinet type JA...À (electronic) by CEE standard* for electric powersupply and control of NILOS vulcanizing devices (Voltage 400 V, 3-phases current). |
other voltages on request.
|
In power nets without zero cable NILOS Electronic Switch Cabinet usage is also possible, since there is no need for control system in zero cable. |
**For one platen one power cable is needed (length 3m). |
NILOS Electronic Switch Cabinet (electronic) gives an ability of accurate temperature regulation with digital indication of required and actual temperature. Actual value is constantly gived, required value can be counted out by pressing the bottom. Electronic temperature regulator are free-programmable. All parameters are adjustable. Electronic regulators controlled by built-in in vulcanizing platens measuring probes ÐÒ 100. |

Electronic switch cabinets connected to vulcanizing platens by 6-poled flat plug, and platens connected to swith cabinets JA 2...E (electronic) - by 6-poled 500V plug connectin by ÑÅÅ standard. Plug connection between Nilos Electronic Switch cabinet and vulcanizing platens is estimated for 500V regardless of net voltage at consumer's factory. |
| 5. Vulcanizing plattens cooling |
For all NILOS vulcanizing plattens differnt cooling systems as a special equipment delivered . With their help platenns pairs fast cooling is achieved , at that the cooling medium could be water or air. |
In case of air cooling only air input anticipated; air acted into the platen's inside goes out through perforations between upper and lower platens. ATTENCION! Use as cooling medium only dry compressed air, connecting to water-supply pipe in this case is forbiden. |
In case of water cooling each platten has closed cooling system, for which input-output connection anticipated. In this case as a cooling medium water and compressed air is used. |
| 6. Pressure traverses |
There are mechanical and hydraulic traverses to create required pressure on the belt. Traverses consits of special profiles with perforations into which pushed joint consisting of bolts and gauges. There are special pressure elements in traverses profiles, which create a required work pressure. |
à)NILOS spindle traverses type JS |
With the help of strong pressure spindles which are distributed on all the traverse length, mechanical pressure on belt created: Thanks to large pressure shoes uniform pressure on belt's plane achieved. Connection between lower and upper traverse seted by pushed into bolts. To create pressure dynamometric key is needed. |
b)NILOS hydraulic traverses type JH |
To create pressure on belt special pressure cylinders made of light metall which press extra hard shoes used. Separate cylinders are conncted with each other, pressure gived through special plug socket, placed on one side of the traverse. Pressure cylinders with pivot rod, which marked red, can be different in case not all traverse length is used to craete pressure. |
To create pressure manual or driven pump with high-pressure hoses needed, and also distributor with pressure indication. |
c)NILOS traverses type JV with mobile elements |
Equiped with two pressure spindles type JVS or with 2 hydraulic pressure elements type JVH, which can travel between both of end bolts. With this traverses any part of conveyor belt can be repaired. |
d)NILOS clamp type JZS (steel composition) |
Meaned to repare beads and other damaged edge areas of conveyor belts and applied together with NILOS edge platens type JKN or platens type JFK for less repaired places. They are composed as stable steel construction and equipped with hard pressure spindles with pressure disks, takeoff up to 300mm |
e) NILOS clamps type JZLS or JZLH (light construction pressure straps) |
Meaned for repairs of conveyor belts of any width and perforating series faults, equipped with mechanical or hydraulic pressure elements. Pressure delivery up to 70 kN, takeoff up to 1600 mm for belts width 3600mm |
| 7. Fixings |
For vulcanizing devices installation there are lots of fixings and auxiliary instruments. |
NILOS moveable elements type JKS anticipated for formation of accurate ends of vulcanized conveyor belts. In combination with two pressure laths enclosed with lengthwise ends they form a refect capstan device, which is applied for big widths of conveyor belts. By set screws and storm bolts the device can be balanced for nonstandard belt widths. |
| -NILOS toolkits |
| -Screw chunks for conveyor belt ends contraction |
| -Pinchers for fubber and fabric covers deletion |
| -Winches (including driven winches) |
| -pneumatic and electric ruogh machines |
| -rough machines with flexible rollers |
| -rubbing machines, clamping bars |
| -manual or elctro-hydraulic shears |
| -stitching rollers, heating and drying devices |
| cable, plugs, belt length counters, pinchers, hygrometers- |
| -Shore durometer, belt calibrators, thermometers |
| -protection glasses, tent and other fixings |
| 8. Vulcanization instructions |
When repairing abd splicing conveyor belts maintain the manufacturers instructions of conveyor belt laying, splice length, vulcanicaton time and temperature! |
Pressure traverses must bu placed as close as it possible to avoid large spaces. Only in this case niform pressure distribution is guaranteed. |
By spindle traverses usage it is necessary to pay attention that pressure spindles are uniformly screwed by dynamometric key. When vulcanization platens temperature is up to 1000C separate spindles should be pulled up to 20Nm (pay attention on instructions marked on traverses) |
In case of hydraulic traverses usage be consistent with force-pump's type appliance instructions. After the vulcanizing plattens are switched on, by temperature increasing oil pressure also must be uniformly increased with the help of pump's lever, so that by 500C pressure was approx.50bars and by 1000C approx. 100bars. When 1000C temperature is reached, pump created pressure must be increased in accordance to pressure marked on traverses. During vulcanization processpressure must be constantly controlled, if the temperature increases it must be corrected with help of valva lever (pay attention on instructions marked on traverses). |
As vulcanization process is complete vulcanizing platens temperature must reduce to 700C. Then vulcanizer device can be disassembled. |
| ATTENCION: |
All hydraulic traverses equipped with valves which response in case of hose break. The hoses provide essential pressure in traverses in case of sudden pressure fall as a result of hose break. That's why the pressure in hydrosystem reduced slowly, because by fast pressure reduce the valve responses and keeps the traverses pressure on a constant level. |
